Can you believe it??? I finished my granny square pillow!!! It was really fun to make, and its beautiful!! Im really proud of the outcome. This is my own pattern, what do you think?
This is my son making the pillow look good :) As you can tell i used three different novelty yarns and two regular yarns to make this pillow. I can't remember what the yarn names were, i was using scraps... remember i was going to make a blanket out of this but ended up running out of yarn fast. Yup scraps will do that to ya.
My silly boy....
This is the back of the pillow. I ran out of the novelty yarn and just decided to put some plain color in. I actually like it, i think it looks great like this. What do you think?

Hats, Pillows, and a blankie!!
Look at my cute little baby/big boy:) I made him an Owlie hat, my own pattern and.... look at him trying to take it off. I tried taking so many pictures of him but this was the best one. You know how kiddos are they move and hate hats!!! Well he loves his hat when i take him outside and its freazing cold, just now in the house lol. Shoulda tried a picture out there...
I really wanted a new hat and i wanted it to be really simple. This is my own pattern, i just used two different colors. I really like the colors but, im more of a plain jane wearer so i don't think these colors are my style. But thats ok, it will be a great gift for someone!!
And another picture....
I started these granny squares with the intention of making a blanket/throw, but after getting hardly anywhere at all i realized i was running out of the novelty yarn fast so i decided to make a pillow instead. Which is ok cause the novelty yarn would have made it an itchy blanket anyway and it can just be a decorative pillow anyway right? RIGHT!! Oh and sorry about the strings everywhere, i end up weaving in the ends at the very end.
Another picture, i will post more as it grows i promise!!
Just letting you know i have a habit of doing more than one project at once, but don't worry i also have a habit of finishing everything no matter what. This is going to be a blanket. I am only using two colors, and yes!!! i really like these colors. My camera isnt that swell but the blue color looks different on here than it looks sitting by me :( im sad about that but its ok. Also this is not my pattern so i wanted you to share the link and beautiful creator with you. If any of you decide to also make this blanket i would love to see how yours turned out please. I love other peoples work just as much as my own. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/granny-stripes-2
Here is another close up picture :) enjoy!!

My very first blog post!!!
I made this baby start blanket about a month ago and thought i'd share it with you as my first post. Im working on quite a few projects right now and can't wait to share them with you. This is not my own pattern, i got it from Hobby Lobby. It was one of those free ones hanging by the yarn. Ive seen other people make this blanket on ravelry. Here is a link if anybody wants to try it out. Let me know what you think. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/chromium-star-blanket
